Choose bridal shoes for the venue and the hours you will wear them
Comfort, stability and dress length matter more than a short-lived trend when the shoes must work through the ceremony, photographs and reception.
- Test the shoes on surfaces similar to the aisle, ballroom, lawn or beach.
- Take the final heel height to the dress fitting before the hem is fixed.

Fit them at the right time of day
Try both shoes later in the day when feet may be slightly fuller. Walk, turn, use stairs and stand for several minutes. Check pressure at the toes, heel movement and strap placement.
Prepare a realistic backup
A second pair should have a similar sole height if the dress has been hemmed for the main shoes. Break both pairs in gradually without damaging them.
