I am available during the evening time of weekdays and on weekends. Prices for piano lessons are typically SAR 250 per hour. If you are looking for a long term commitment, the hourly rate will be less.
Piano Tuning
Why does a piano require regular tuning?
Most pianos are built out of wood, a substance vulnerable to even the slightest changes in temperature and humidity. Wood absorbs moisture and swells causing the steel wire strings connected to bridges inside the piano to produce out-of-tune notes . This is perfectly normal. I’ve seen it happen with my clients on several occasions, so I always advise them to locate the piano away from outside walls, radiators, open fires or open windows.
I usually recommend my clients at least 2 or 3 tunings per year for a piano getting average use in the home. The ideal way to cover seasonal changes would be undertaking 4 tunings spaced through the year. This of course applies to pianos in the average home. Pianos in music schools and those frequently used should be tuned more often. Studio and concert pianos should also be tuned prior to every concert or recording.
Whenever you feel your piano is out of tune, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to attend to both piano tuning and to the minor technical piano servicing work that your piano may require from time to time. The whole process shouldn’t take more than 1 hour.
