Turkey

Before a Turkish bride says goodbye to her parents’ house and goes to the wedding party, her uncle or brothers wear a red band around the waist of a bride. This ribbon symbolizes happiness, luck, and innocence.

Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, the bride’s costume both traditions of East and West. It is customary to wear a luxurious silk sari and a European-style veil. The ornaments also comprise gemstones in odd numbers, a sign of good luck.

Nigeria

Nigerian brides have strong-colored lace blouses and their caftans have Indian fabrics. Bird necklaces and head ornaments complement the outfit.
