We are so excited to announce that Wedding Champs will be taking part of this year’s UAE National Day on December 2, 2015. UAE is the epitome of a strong and remarkable union. People from all walks of life come together on this day to commemorate the unification of the 7 Emirates that created this wonderful and continuously growing nation. It marks the day when everyone is reminded that in life we are filled with grateful things and there will always be new hope and new chances. Wedding Champs supports such encouragement and upholds the essence of love and unity, thus, making this event truly an inspiration. It is through the spirit of union, we are taught that when love is combined with unity, it will always make up a perfect harmony!
History tells that the United Arab Emirates was formed on December 2, 1971 after the treaty relations established by British expired. Six of the seven emirates namely Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Umm Al-Quwain, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman were combined on that date. The seventh, Ras Al-Khaiman joined the federation on 10th of February 1972. The union of the seven emirates has formed this modern-day country headed by Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first president of the UAE.
As early as now, events are happening here and there to commemorate the UAE National Day. The nation’s biggest shopping arena, Global Village has opened already last 3rd November 2015 and ends until 9th April 2016. It’s an open-air theme park where over 70 participating nations presented in over 36 pavilions, with more than 50 fun rides and 26 restaurants offering delectable selections from around the world. As part of the annual celebration, we will be witnessing again The Parade – Downtown Dubai welcoming artistic expression and ideas that embody and showcase the spirit of the UAE National Day. This will be the 5th edition of such procession that will occur on Saturday, 28th November 2015. For this year, over 15,000 attendees from over 100 nations are expected to participate. The goal is to become the largest community parade in the world compete directly with Cologne, London and Macy’s Parade. No doubt this is going to be an exciting and joyous event that you should not miss!

On December 2, 2015, grand celebrations are held across the country to mark this event. There will be series of fantastic events to happen all over UAE such as amazing fireworks display, car rallies, air shows, musical concerts and other entertaining activities. Also, Heritage Village celebrations will be conducted across seven emirates as part of the tradition. Most of these activities are free to attend so it will truly be a fun day to go out and have a good time!
